Randall Hendrickson
President, Founder: Horizon RV Resorts
Formerly Vice President and General Manager for a nationally recognized RV Resort group, in 2003 Randy formed Horizon RV Resorts, a management/consulting /sales/development firm serving the outdoor hospitality industry. Randy has been involved in the industry for 16 years, managing multi-property operations in California, Arizona, Texas, Nevada, Florida, Colorado, New York, North Carolina and Utah. From 2003 to 2006 Randall served as Vice President on the Board of Directors for CTPA Inc. (California Travel Parks Association, now CalARVC) where he chaired the Public Relations/Communications committee and was a Director on the CTPA Services Board. Randall also served on the AZ ARVC (formerly ATPA) Board of Directors from 2006 to 2008.
Randy enjoyed success very early in his career when the property for which he was General Manager was nominated to ARVC by TACO (Texas Association of Campground Owners) as Texas' nominee for 'Large Park of The Year'. Randy has built steadily on that success, bringing to bear a 32 year career in sales, marketing, web development and property management in the formation of Horizon RV Resorts. More recently, one of Randy's properties (www.flyingflags.com) was voted CTPA 'Large Park Of The Year' for 2005, and was co-winner of the 'Web Site of the Year' award.
Rapid but responsible growth, fueled by the need for Horizon RV Resorts’ unique services, has resulted in a managed portfolio of more than 2,300 RV and Park Model sites and Motel units in 7 states, with a portfolio value in excess of $119M. Randy enjoys a respectful relationship with leading tour, travel and hospitality industry groups, as well as state organizations. In working with multiple vendors over many years, Randy has assembled a team of the industry's top performers and can target the ideal solution for your needs. Beverly Johnson
Executive Vice President
Beverly brings to Horizon RV Resorts more than 25 years of impeccable history in sales, marketing, team building and office systems. Over the past 11 years, Beverly has been charged with multi-park responsibility overseeing policies, procedures and systems on virtually every level of campground operations. She continues to initiate and support installation of front office software and online reservations procedures, and is an expert at transitioning properties from prior ownership's systems to 'The Horizon System'. She is highly adept at property turnaround and implementation of our unique operational efficiencies, and as a full-time Rver, she is able to provide on-site logistical support when required.
Beverly excels at staff hospitality and operational training, and sets the standard to which your staff should aspire. She has the unique ability to evaluate existing operations, locate efficiencies to be gained by streamlining operations and reducing payroll, but with the enviable result of producing increased effectiveness of staff and an enhanced guest experience. As the primary architect of ‘The Horizon System’, she is responsible for not only its implementation at all properties, but also for the continuity of its application on all levels.

Scott Foos
Executive Vice President, Strategy and DevelopmentA graduate from the University of Colorado with a degree in Business Management, Scott entered the RV industry in 2004. Rising through the ranks to become General Manager at one of Colorado’s premier resorts while mastering The Horizon System’s management techniques, Scott joined the Horizon RV Resorts executive team in 2011, bringing with him the latest in business management practices fused with real-world experiences in the industry.
Scott is intimately involved with financial analysis, tracking the performance of the portfolio and reporting operating results via a proprietary web-based infrastructure of his design. This level of efficiency allows for dramatically increased accountability across all levels of operations, providing Horizon staff, as well as our clients, the ability to easily access relevant data and materials. In conjunction, Scott evaluates and oversees all new technological enhancements necessary for Horizon RV Resorts to continually evolve towards the end goal of unparalleled efficiency.
Scott has successfully managed capital improvement projects for multiple resorts, including new site planning and installation and general resort upgrades. With a keen focus on identifying additional revenue opportunities, he works with clients to map out strategies for a greatly enhanced bottom line performance. Experienced in virtually all levels of resort management, Scott has the operational insight to lead RV resorts to the next level of success.
David Simms
Feasibility & Resort Development
David Simms is the former President of Leisure Concepts Management, an RV resort development and RV Park Management company. In his 10 years of experience in the RV resort industry, David has been instrumental in the evaluation and acquisition of 8 RV Resort properties and has evaluated the feasibility of close to 100 properties. In addition to acquisitions, David’s core duties have included operational management and oversight of sales and marketing.
David’s projects included Havasu RV Resort (AZ), Ocala Sun RV Resort (FL), Galveston Bay RV Resort (TX) and Palm Lake RV Resort (AL). Havasu RV Resort has the highest Woodall’s rating (5W) and was one of the Trailer Life’s “Best Parks” in 2010, ranking among the top 300 RV resorts in the United States.
Prior to entering the RV resort industry, David had a 20+ year career as a financial executive in the retail industry, gaining experience while working for Target, Inc. and subsequently performing turnaround work for Ames Department Stores and Kmart Corporation.
David has a BA in Economics from Grove City College in Pennsylvania and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic in Troy New York. David grew up in the marina business in coastal Massachusetts.
